Early Dismissal Days

Do 11:30 dismissal days have you in a bind? Come spend the afternoon at the YMCA! Games, Crafts, Character Development, STEM Activities, Snack and Homework Time, Enrichment Activities, Fun in a Safe Environment, Qualified Staff, and SO MUCH MORE!

Our students who attend After School Program each week will receive a special deal on these days! $11/day & $7/day for siblings

Kindergarten – 6th Grade
7:30 am – 5:30 pm
bring a snack & lunch • wear comfy clothes & shoes

Giggle & Wiggle: Toddler Open Gym @ Mt. Sterling YMCA
Feb 22 @ 9:30 am – 11:00 am

Come jump, run, and play with your toddler during our open gym time! Giggle and Wiggle will feature gross motor equipment especially designed for children ages 1-4 including a bounce house, trampoline, soft climbing equipment, slides, tunnels, balance stones, hopping hoops, balls, hurdles, and more! Pre-registration is appreciated. Drop ins welcome! Parents must accompany toddlers.

Friday Night Bingo @ Mt. Sterling YMCA
Mar 1 @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Adults of all ages are invited to a fun filled night of bingo at the Y! An entree will be provided, but participants may bring a side dish or dessert to pass if they wish. Some prizes are provided, but anyone’s unwrapped ‘white elephant’ gift is appreciated.

Middle School Madness

What could be better than an evening of dodgeball, dancing, eating pizza, shooting hoops, video games, and hanging out with your friends? Area teens in 5th – 8th grade are welcome to join us for MIDDLE SCHOOL MADNESS!

Glow-In-The-Dark Egg Hunt

We will be transforming the Large Meeting Room into a black light paradise. Participants will be grouped into age-appropriate egg hunts to ensure safety and fun for everyone! While you’re waiting for your hunt, you can get some neon face paint, visit with the Easter Bunny, make an edible craft, and play some fun bunny games. Be sure to bring your basket and wear neon or white clothes for optimal black-light effect!

8 Week Swim Lessons @ Irish House Hotel

Swim lessons not only keep kids safe in the water, they also build self-esteem and confidence. All of our participants gain a greater understanding of not only the strokes, but also safety, rescue skills, and water activities they can enjoy for a lifetime.

Itty Bitty Soccer @ Mt. Sterling YMCA Field or Gym

This 5 week program will introduce young soccer stars to the basic skills of the game. We will focus on fundamentals and skill development. The YMCA core values and sportsmanship will also be enforced and taught to the Itty Bitty group. Cleats and shin guards are not required but are encouraged to be worn by the players in this age
group. Bring tennis shoes in case bad weather has us in the gym!

Youth Soccer League @ Mt. Sterling YMCA Field or Gym
Mar 23 @ 10:00 pm – 10:45 pm

Coming to the Mt. Sterling YMCA is our 6-8 year old Soccer League! This is a 6 week program on Saturdays. The first 3 weeks will be clinic style, focusing on basics of the game. The last 3 weeks will include scrimmages between all teams. Cleats aren’t a requirement but are encouraged to be worn by the players. Shin guards ARE required.
Neither cleats nor shin guards are provided by the YMCA. Jerseys will be provided by the Y. Bring tennis shoes in case bad weather has us in the gym! Volunteer coaches will be needed.
