Where the Youth of America Learn to Swim

The Y will once again partner with the Irish House to offer swim lessons for youth 6 months to 5 1/2 years old. The Y believes learning to swim should be a requirement for every child in our community. Swim lessons not only keep kids safe in the water, they also build self-esteem and confidence. All of our participants gain a greater understanding of not only the strokes, but also safety, rescue skills, and water activities they can enjoy for a lifetime.

Class Descriptions

SKIP – Parent/Child (6 – 36 months)

Happy in the water, blow bubbles, water safety, front and back relaxation, pool entry and exit, plastic pants or swim diaper only (NO disposable diapers)

EEL – Pre-School (3 ½ – 5 ½ Years)

Swim with PFD, enter/exit boat, paddle on front, back, and side 25 yards, skull one minute, wet belt introduction, dial 911, Have Fun!

Class Times

8-week Session – Wednesdays starting March 21, registration deadline March 14.
SKIP: 6:00-6:45pm
EEL 7:00-7:45pm

Fees: $24 for members; $40 for non-members

Please note: Each class is limited to 8 participants.
