Fit to Fight

I love our Fit to Fight group! It is just what I needed. I had colon cancer surgery and it has been a very long, difficult recovery. The trainer is so patient, always giving us ideas on how to make the exercises easier or more difficult, [depending on] what works for each of us! I sign up for every session!

Our program, Fit to Fight, helps cancer fighters and survivors find community, stay active, and contributes to a healthy lifestyle.

Fit to Fight is a 13-week course free to those who are currently fighting or have fought cancer. With direction and encouragement from a certified YMCA instructor, twice a week, participants will take part in a fitness class catered to their individual needs. This class will focus on building strength, increasing flexibility and endurance, and improving energy levels for overall health and wellness.

A free YMCA membership will be provided during the 13-week course, thanks to support from Quincy Medical Group and the Mt. Sterling Community Center YMCA Annual Campaign!
