Melissa Barfield, NASM Certified CPT/WLS
Melissa’s fitness knowledge coincides directly with her passion for healthy lifestyles of all ages and abilities. As a mom of 4 young busy children, and wife, she learned early in parenthood the importance of strength, health, endurance, and longevity. Outside of her own training and helping others, Melissa enjoys volunteering, cooking and baking and gardening.
Melissa’s knowledge and skills have been utilized as a former athlete - and perfected for the last 10 years when fitness first became her passion. Moving forward in this community, she hopes to help others find a way to make healthy living a routine part of their lives. If already a part of their lives, her goal is to help them to learn and grow throughout the process.
She emphasizes the importance of cross-training and staying open minded, learning that rest is just as crucial as exercise, and finding that life balance. She understands that so many of us want to age well for ourselves and families, and she hopes to counter the misconceptions that have become beliefs in our society. Melissa aims to help clients understand that physical activity and healthy living can be measured by more than what the eye can see, and how that balance can be achieved!
